The power of water

Moses returned to Egypt and asked the Pharoah to let his people go. The Pharoah refused because they had a good thing going with all those slaves. So God sent 8 plagues -- frogs, gnats, flies, boils, water turned to blood, cattle died, hail, and locusts. Finally, the Hebrew people left but in a hurry, in case the Egyptians changed their minds. In such haste, they took their unleavened bread (Matza).

The people wandered around the wilderness on their way to Israel. At one point, they were cornered with no way out. Ahead was the Strait of Aquaba, to the other were Egyptian warriors, and on the other, steep cliffs. Moses held his staff over the waters and they parted. Everyone got through but the Egyptians drowned.
